Title: No clue about partitions
Post by: Oneiros on June 19, 2018, 03:09:25 AM
I'm trying to install sparky for the first time, and I don't have any idea what I'm doing with partitions. The installer is only giving me a manually partition option, and all the guides I can find are showing different installers and assuming I have more knowledge than I have. Anyone able to translate the partition instructions into pure noobese?

I'm trying to fully wipe the hard drive for a clean install, using the calamares installer.

The Calamares gives you automated or manual option for partitioning, see #4 :

I'm having the same issue. I want to use sparky linux and I have 110 GB set aside as free space but everytime I make the root and swap partitions I get an error saying "The installer failed to create partition on disk 'ATA TOSHIBA DT01ACA1'.
Failed to add partition 'New Partition' to device '/dev/sda'. "

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong
