Gdebi installer not working for any packages

Everytime i try  Gdebi lets say I try to install google chrome when I copy google chrome into gdebi and I click on install package it asks for my username and password when I click ok nothing  happens, the process does not start. Gdebi does not install google chrome or for any other package that  I tried

yes, it happens sometimes.
why didn't try to install chrome via APTus?
