In topic "HARDWARE":
If the wars go nuclear computer hardware will be off the market very fast, and existing stuff will be hellishly expensive.. It's a good plan to collect all the used computer hardware stuff you can right now..
Acquire notebooks from computer libraries, flea-markets, garage sales, dumps, spring cleanups, friends.. Collect as many hard drive as you can.. Hard drives wear out, and soon there won't be any available in stores as the computer goes closer and closer to extinction, and manufacturing and retail shuts down...

I have a stack of notebooks floor to touching the ceiling, and then some, and a gallon of tower RAM, a gallon of notebook RAM, and 150 spare notebook hard drives, 100 tower hard drives, scanners, printers, video players.. I'm ready for the doodoo to hit the fan.. Are you..?

After I die my brother gets all my junk.. He will probably melt all the electronics down for his precious metals hobby.. He gets all my stuff.. So essentially I've just collected a huge garage sale for my brother.. For 50-years I collected tools, hardware, and stuff to build and supply rescue farming community towns in forests to rescue good humans from the cannibal zombie cities and towns after the wars after the food runs out, to reboot humanity in forests, but humanity doesn't want any of it.. They stopped me cold by stealing the three uranium mines and two gold mines I discovered, and my three big lotto wins, which all would have funded hundreds of forest towns globally, plus I know all the cures to all disease on the planet.. They sunk me.. They tried 80-times to murder me.. Being wise is immoral and illegal in humanity.. They killed all of humanity's great thinkers, 100-million wise women, and all of humanity's pioneering scientists.. Their reward is extinction and nothing...

Be wise: Collect used hard drives, RAM, and notebooks as much as you can, from: Garage sales..
Flea markets..
Computer libraries..
Scrap metal recycling yards..
Schools..
Institutions..
Spring cleanups..
People who just don't want their computers anymore..
Dumps..
Friends, family, neighbors..
Electronics recycling places..

It sure looks like the arabia war is gonna go nuclear.. Best you save up a years supply of dried foods and lots of necessities... What good is a computer to you if'n yer daid and all black and green mouldy..?

Batteries are already very expensive, and the price increases monthly.. City dumps recycle about two to five gallons of dry cells each per day...
It would be wise to build a trickle battery charger for alkaline batteries, and collect a couple hundred pounds of them like I've down... I've also collected about 100 power-tool batteries.. They can be restored way too easily just by connecting two together for a few hours.. Today, new power-tool batteries sell for over $100 each is why so many good expensive power-tools are being trashed... Plus they can be dismantled for the double-A's inside them...

Collect solar panels.. If the planet get hit by strong solar flares the electrical grid will shut off.. Everything in your freezers and fridges will rot in a couple weeks... When should you be preparing for the big disaster..? Will you start preparing when the disaster starts..? In three weeks all the stores would be empty and closed... The only way to acquire food would be by home invasions...
I saw a clear vision of it while I crossed America east to west.. I could even read the dates on the license plates.. At 3:AM cruising along a deserted highway at a leisurely 40 kms, I saw a shocking vision of thousands of new cars abandoned at the sides of the highway, each with a bullet hole in the drivers windshield, gas-caps, doors, and trunk lids left open, white yellow and pink luggage strewn all about in the tall grasses, no bodies, the zombies got them all for their meat, and the little ones for their toys... I'm ready for that, I acquired five pieces of bullet-proof glass from a garage sale 25-years ago for 50-dollars, oh yay...
