Hello, I installed Sparky 7.6 Orion-Belt (6.1.0-32-amd64) about a week ago, and now have a problem to install gimp.
At first I tried to install it with the Aptus App Center and - when this failed - with Synaptic, this again failed. My last attempt was with the terminal. The problem seems to be the same no matter wich way
I try to install it.
It has to do with unaccomplished dependences.
The files libgegl-0.4-0, libavformat59, libswscale6, libavutil57 are depending on each other, and the "bad guy" of those four is 'libavutil57' wich seems to be the wrong version.
Here is the terminal-progress of the failed installation.
(unfortunatly it is in german, but I think it is understandable):

Einige Pakete konnten nicht installiert werden. Das kann bedeuten, dass
Sie eine unmögliche Situation angefordert haben oder, wenn Sie die
Unstable-Distribution verwenden, dass einige erforderliche Pakete noch
nicht erstellt wurden oder Incoming noch nicht verlassen haben.
Die folgenden Informationen helfen Ihnen vielleicht, die Situation zu lösen:

Die folgenden Pakete haben unerfüllte Abhängigkeiten:
 libgegl-0.4-0 : Hängt ab von: libavformat59 (>= 7:5.0)

Is it possible, to install this file alone, or do I just have to save them in (a) certain folder(s) ?
I hope somebody knows...

Bump.

Exactly the same problem here:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libgegl-0.4-0 : Depends: libavformat59 (>= 7:5.0)
 libswscale6 : Depends: libavutil57 (= 7:5.1.6-0+deb12u1) but 10:5.1.3-dmo5 is to be installed

--fix-broken doesn't do anything because there aren't actually any...

oohhh...
its about different versions of libs in multimedia repos and in debian repos.
the best way is closing multimedia repos, and downgrade some libs...
have to think about removing multimedia repos from isos, it makes to many problems.

That's why AppImages exist:

➤ Want to know how you can use a program you have never used before? "man" will be your best new friend! Type "man <pkg-name>" in a shell.
➤ Or, point your browser to "manpages.debian.org/<pkg-name>" .... RTFM !!!
