Timeshift is not working due KDE Plasma 5.21.5 update.
Timeshift is in Live USB Mode and device UUID is not found
I have restored system from Timeshift snapshot and Timeshift works fine (KDE Plasma  5.20.5). After update to KDE Plasma to 5.21.5, Timeshift is only in live usb mode.
I think there is a dependency missing that Timeshift is no longer working.
Without Timeshift, I cannot back up my system.
Sometimes I used Timeshift to restore the system and this application is indispensable to me.

Just for general reference, Norbert Preining has a strong focus on getting the newest KDE kit into Debian testing and unstable.   He also in involved in getting as new as possible KDE into stable.

He posts often on Debian Planet, his blog is at
https://www.preining.info/blog/      New posts on KDE Aug 24 and Aug 18.

Myself, I do lxqt and also like sway.   In the past Norbert's binaries never caused me problems for Sigil and Calibre.

Search forum for "More info easier via inxi"    If requested -  no inxi, no help for you by  me.

It seems unlikely that the update would cause this as Timeshift is not a plasma application.
What sort of drive are you using - USB Key? I hope not.
Whatever it is, if you open terminal, run lsusb, then plug in the drive and run it again you should see the difference as your drive.
Normally when you plug a drive in plasma will pop up the box in the system tray.
If the drive is not showing, try a different one.

After today's update of Timeshift the problem has solved. Timeshift works again.
