Installation blues... Not the same as live USB

Hello, I downloaded the latest SparkyLinux ISO today, loaded it on a drive and booted and it looked great. Everything worked and I decided to install it on my Gateway (Acer) LT22 notebook.

After installation - went without a hitch, nice job! - the desktop looked nothing like the live USB. The panel is on the top where in the live demo it is on the bottom, there is now a dock on the bottom that did not exist and worst of all the menu bar text of all menus has zero spacing between menu choices and the text was absurdly small.

Also, within Thunar, the directory columns are not resizable as there is nothing to grab in the column headers.

As a side note, and this I saw in the Live demo but hoped for a fix, my trackpad tap and scroll capabilities are non-existent.

Help? I would like to see if these items can be adjusted since Sparky appears to work nicely and is fast enough on this little machine...

Hi. What exact ISO did you use for installation? How (step by step) did you install your system?

Hello Iami07, thanks for the comeback!

The ISO I used is sparkylinux-5.10.1-x86_64-xfce.iso and my apologies, but I really don't recall every step of the procedure. What I do recall is that I accepted all of the defaults other than the re-use of my /home partition where I had previously deleted all config files and folders (.foldername) from the LinuxMint install that had lived there.

I have found in Settings Editor, xsettings the FontName & MonoSpaceFontName items and bumped these up to 12 and have readable menu items and can grab the slider in the column headers but the menu items are still crammed together with no space between them.

I guess this is somehow responsible for stopping sparky installer from setting up config files properly.

I see 3 solutions here:
1)proper installation with /home format

2)forceful reinstallation of conf files with help of APTus tool.

3)manual reinstallation of conf files (aka copy&paste what you need from /usr/share/sparky-desktop-data/xfce/skel/ to user home directory)
