No login password [SOLVED]

I have been trying to figure out since installing SparkyLinux 5.8 yesturday to how to have it ask me for a lognin password. I never selected any auto login when I installed SparkyLinux. How do I get SparkyLinux 5.8 to require a password apon bootup?                      inxi -F

Have a look in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf under [Seat;*] for autologin-user=

If it is uncommented (missing the #) then that is what the installer has set. - If you have already set a password, you might be safe to comment that line again to ignore autologin.

NOTE: I'm not sure the implications of commenting it out. Will that be another issue with no password set though? backup, backup ...

I set a password. I got to that file but I don't understand it.  :-\ [Seat:*]

Linux is fighting me again. When I change that entry and save it and rebooted and it still didn't ask for my passdword. I rechecked the entry that I saved and it didn't save it. I did it as root so I don't understand why it didn't save. That information opens in LibreOffice if that makes a difference. When I edit it how do I get it to stay edited to what it's supose to be?

I figured out how to get it to save the changes. I used Mousepad instead of LibreOffice which it was using as defualt. Thank you very much for your help 21grams.  :)
