Hi, I just upgraded Sparky from 4 to 5 (supposedly Stretch to Buster). All went fine, no errors. I also added the Sparky repos and the Sparky keyring. I installed sparky.apt, but I cannot install sparky5.apt. Here there is the error:
apt install sparky5.apt
Leyendo lista de paquetes... Hecho
Creando árbol de dependencias
Leyendo la información de estado... Hecho

sparky5-apt : Depende: base-files (<= 11~sparky0)
E: No se pudieron corregir los problemas, usted ha retenido paquetes rotos.

My system info is: inxi -Fxz

Here I noticed that my Debian is sid, not testing. I want testing, not sid. And Sparky 5, not 6 (Nibiru is testing and Po Tolo sid? I'm confused). Did I something wrong? If yes, what I did wrong? And what I can do?

Also I noticed that "Aptus" disappeared, sparky6.apt is installed instead of 5 version, and sparky-desktop is not installed.

My sources.list file is: deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ buster main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ buster main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ buster/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ buster/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://www.deb-multimedia.org buster main non-free

My sparky-testing-list file is:### sparky core repository is used by all sparky editions
deb https://sparkylinux.org/repo/ core main
deb-src https://sparkylinux.org/repo/ core main

### sparky testing repository
deb https://sparkylinux.org/repo/ testing main
deb-src https://sparkylinux.org/repo/ testing main

And yes, I followed this guide: https://sparkylinux.org/sparky-5-transition/   (but it was not possible to install sparky5.apt)

1.  Thanks for using inxi.    SID - the toy destroyer.     Relax.  Calm.  It says Bullseye Sid
If you want to call it a bug, you can call  it a bug.   My sparky testing says similar.

I  noticed the  presence of "buster" in your /etc/apt/sources.list

So actually you are tracking Debian stable with your sources.list.  Instead of "buster" you would want "testing" or "bullseye"  There is no difference for the next 23 months betweeen testing and bullseye.  Sparky 4 was "stretch" which is now old-stable.  Sparky 5 is/was "buster" which became the new stable in June of 2019.  These are the Debian names, which would be used in the Debian portion of your sources.list.

I am doing less with Sparky theses days.

Po Tolo the newest Sparky   is based on the present Debian testing - Bullseye.

So, you are not in Sid.  Others should post the how to soon, I do all this via command line and do not use aptus.

Thanks Paxmark!  ;D  So my situation is not as bad as I thought. I'm not in Sid (I don't want a risky/unstable OS). So, If I understand, I have two choices:
1 - Stay with stable repos (Buster)
2 - Change the repos to testing (Bullseye)
Is this true?

And If I understand correctly, Aptus is no longer visible in the menu because is obsolete

Basically - yes.    Except I doubt that the Sparky tool Aptus is obsolete.

Others should post soon about the easiest way to get you to have a standard Sparky install.
1.  You probably do want Aptus.  For a very minimal gui for updating - upgrading it is nice.  There were some hiccups you might search forum for some problems installing in the end of Sparky 5.

2.  Depending on your skill set - you have to decide if you want Sparky 5 - with 90+ % of your binaries from Debian Buster -  still a very fresh - 2 month old OS.
Or go with Sparky 6 and 90+% form Bullseye.  This can be the more challenging part of a testing calendar - pent up updates and version bumps of the code waiting in line for 8 months as Debian polished to stability.  It will be very easy down the road to go to testing later.

Hopefully others chime in on how to get Aptup up.
First recommend  "sudo dpkg --congifigure -a"   to see if it got hung up.  A very safe but effective tool.

I installed sparky-aptus and voilá, Aptus is back.  :)
I'm still confused about sparklinux versions because screenfetch and inxi says that I have Po Tolo, but my repos are pointing to Debian Buster, not Bullseye, and then logically my sparkylinux version should be Nibiru, not Po Tolo.  :o
