It may occur that the media or file you are using as base for the installer to contain errors (USB or optic).

I recommend a hash check over the downloaded file (not needed if you used a torrent client) as well as burning with media check option enabled (default at brasero).

Verify that you can write and read normally from your USB media before attempting to use it as installation media!

It is very common that the live system load and install even with some corrupted files, leaving an "dirty" installation that can show random strange problems including but not limited to unsolvable missing dependencies.
