Wireless Optical Mouse Compatibility

Hi, I'm new to SparkyLinux, and fairly new to Linux, and I'm using the Rolling Home Edition with Mate Desktop on an old 32 Bit Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop PC.

I'm trying to get my Logitech LX6 Wireless Optical Mouse with it's C-BS35 Receiver working with this setup, but I'm not sure if it's compatible.
I can't find a Linux Driver for it, and I've tried installing 'HIDpoint' software, but I just get errors.
Also, it won't work with the 'Solaar' Linux Device Manager because the C-BS35 isn't a Unifying Receiver.

Is there a way to get my LX6 Mouse working with my setup or, if I buy a new Logitech Mouse with a Unifying Receiver, will it work for me with Solaar?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.
