Hello, I made a new installation [manual installation] of sparkylinux xfce 32bit stable, dual boot with win7, so far so good. But i forgot to activate the start password question. In other words, it starts without asking for a password. Can I activate from the command line by the terminal>? What would be the key

In a terminal

"man passwd"  would give you the man (manual) page for passwd     peace out
Search forum for "More info easier via inxi"    If requested -  no inxi, no help for you by  me.

See http://lxlinux.com/login-pswd.html.  Presuming you have lightdm as display manager, just reverse the instruction for automatic login, that is, comment out (put a '#' sign in front of them) the 2 lines indicated.

Unfortunately LightDM only controls the appearance I do not see where to adjust the input to the system to activate the password question

Edit the lightdm config file:
sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
Change 'nano' to 'mousepad' if you like.
Comment the lines (put # in the front of the lines):
autologin-session=
autologin-user=

and (if not commented):
autologin-user-timeout=0
Nothing is easy as it looks. Danielle Steel
