Sparky Stable Installation Questions

Hi
I've been observing SparkyLinux for some time now, admiring it for its Debian base and many DE options, but never tried installing it until now as it was based on Debian testing.  I downloaded and installed sparkylinux-4.6-rc-x86_64-minimalgui-stb.iso for starters in VirtualBox (Arch host).  There were two installers available.  I went with the advanced one first but couldn't get it to work.  Then I tried the regular installer.  On reboot, at first I thought the install wasn't successful as nothing appeared on the screen for some time after the Grub menu, but suddenly I was at the LightDM login screen.  After that, it seems OK, but I have some questions.
First, the regular installer gave no option to create a Swap disc nor was one created automatically, as lsblk shows none.  The advanced installer gave the option to do so via gparted, I believe.
I understand what RC means, but wonder at no swap being created and how this will impact performance.
Thanks

might be a virtualbox thing.  I had no swap file in a virtualbox Siduction install (also based on calmares installer) on a Debian testing host.  But if not, that is a bug.  Shouldn't cause any problems in a vm.

By the way, virtualbox in Debian is in limbo.  I got it awhile back in testing, but it is not supported at present.  https://packages.debian.org/sid/virtualbox   Jessie and Sid have options, but stretch at present does not, it is listed in the BTS.

I might have to go to qemu and learn bridging or go with the virtualbox binary for Windows 7 vm.
