Happy with the snappiness of Sparky

Having test driven (installed and used for at least a day) various other distros, sparky is probably my current favorite for a) having any package I wanted b) very snappy response.
Some distros (strangely, even some commercial ones) simply melt into sludge over the course of the day.  I'm not sure why..memory fragmentation?  I have plenty of memory (24 GB) and it never gets all used, but distros still have the problem I stated.
