Since, Sparky is based on Debian 'Testing'

... what will happen when Testing on into the FREEZE?

Debian-Testing is expected to be frozen in last Sepember 2014 ... and Debian 'Jessie" is groomed for STABLE in early 2015.  (When is ready)

Will Sparky keep the Release Schedule?

We use "testing" repo instead of "jessie", "wheezy", etc. so it'll be still based on testing and the release plans will be done.
When Debian 8 Jessie become stable, Sparky 4 will be moved on Debian 9 testing.

I think they will freeze Debian 8 testing so for one more year we will have Jessie. By the end of 2015 we will have Debian 9 testing. Testing is not freezing Debian testing, it's freezing Jessie so that Debian 7 weezy continue to be stable release...

I think so. This is still unclear to me.

My question is not exactly on topic but for example if I use "stable" instead of wheezy can I have rolling release too?

Thanks in advance!

PS: I ask because I installed once again Debian on my old PC just for fun. :)

Well... yeah. It'll roll once every few years. ;) Serioulsy though, "stable" gets frozen after being moved from "testing" and it only gets major error and security updates. It's just like Ubuntu's release cycle, but it's a lot slower. That's why we're based on testing, which is at least semi-rolling and stable enough for usage. :)

@Pavroo: I think this needs to be moved to a seperate thread again. :P
There's no such thing as "impossible". :)
