Hi

Have you checked the md5sum?

If you are not sure, download iso image again using any download manager or via bittorrent.

Try to run it (and install) on a virtual machine to make sure the iso image is in 100% good.

Sometimes iso image is not downloaded properly and makes problems.

I think that from the vga

Code:

*-display
       description: VGA compatible controller
product: 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device
       vendor: Intel Corporation
       physical id: 2
       bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0
       version: 01
       width: 32 bits
       clock: 33MHz
       capabilities: pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom
       configuration: driver=i915 latency=0
       resources: irq:16 memory:f0000000-f7ffffff memory:ff680000-ff6fffff

so you think

The Black Pig

I've had this happen , try a new cd/dvd

really that the second download and now the fifth install so it`ll be not LXDE any other desktop.

thanks

Edit the file '/etc/default/grub' and change the line for :

Code:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet nomodeset acpi-osi=linux acpi_backlight=vendor"
